Bio

Pastor Kelvin C. Brooks, Sr. is a native of Independence, Louisiana.

 He was licensed to preach on June 30, 2000 by the Nazarene Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana under the leadership of the late Dr. Albert Green, Jr.  He was ordained by the East Baton Rouge Parish Minister’s Conference and 4th District Missionary Baptist Association of Louisiana on January 10, 2010, also under the leadership of the late Dr. Albert Green, Jr.

Pastor Brooks is a proud graduate of Capitol High – Baton Rouge (1979).  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Theology from Christian Bible College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2004.  He also received Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2007 from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He is currently employed with AT&T. 

 

On January 10, 2016 Pastor Brooks was installed as the ninth pastor of the then 127 year old Nazarene Baptist Church. Lead by the Holy Spirit, Pastor Brooks leads this congregation with a Vision and Commitment to Growth through the PREACHING and TEACHING of God’s Word.  This is reflective of one of Pastor Brooks’ favorite scriptures from the book of Matthew 5:14a, 16, “Ye are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” 

 

Pastor Brooks is actively involved in the East Baton Rouge Parish Minister’s Conference, Fourth District Missionary Baptist Association of Louisiana, Inc., Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention, and National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.
